“When your world has been shattered by bereavement, you may feel the last thing you want to do is spend a weekend away with strangers. But please do consider joining us if you have lost a child or a sibling.

“Many bereaved parents and siblings have discovered that spending a weekend away with people who understand their grief, because they have been there too, is a valuable and life-changing experience. No matter how long ago, or the circumstances of the death, you are welcome to join us.”

Kath and Mike Coulson, whose son Philip died aged 7, will host the weekend. They’ll be joined by Nicki Wisdom, whose brother Stuart died six years ago. Nicki will spend time with those who have lost a sibling.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

Talk about your grief with people who really understand
Know you are not alone
Learn strategies to help you continue the journey through your loss
Have freedom to participate in as much of the programme as you feel comfortable with
Spend meaningful time with new friends
Take time out to enjoy the superb facilities of Staverton Park Hotel
