Funding / Sponsors

Care for the Family has brochures and posters you can order to help you promote the programme. Click here to go to the Resource Order Pages.

Getting a local business or two to sponsor you can help keep the costs down, especially if you have to pay to use facilities.

Make every effort to have your programme noted on local radio.

Consider the following prospective sponsors: supermarkets, trades people, car dealers, the local council, shopping centres and clusters of shops, police, specialty shops, garden nurseries, newspapers, radio stations, local TV stations, sports clubs, community clubs, factories, farmers associations, service clubs (Rotary, Lions etc), travel agencies and so on.

Don’t forget to send a thank-you letter after the programme is concluded, along with news on how the programme went and in what ways parents have benefited. Businesses like to display certificates to say they have supported a community project or sports team. Make up a suitable certificate to present to sponsors. Publicise the presentation and if possible have the local newspaper feature it with a story and a photo. This will encourage your sponsors to want to work with you again the next time you run a programme.
